Ruth Plumly Thompson Books in Order

This collection gathers children's stories and poems originally written for magazines and other periodicals. Thompson's shorter works offer a broader view of the imagination and playful storytelling of the writer who continued the Oz series.

Sissajig tales, nonsense verse, and stories of characters who later appeared in Oz are brought together in this collection. It also includes Oz poems and a play, presenting several forms of Thompson's imaginative writing for children.

A boy and his dog board a magical trolley and journey through the imagination. Their adventure introduces talking animals, unusual towns, and new friends, turning a remarkable ride into an opportunity for discovery and growing self-understanding.
