Series background & context

Rich Demons of Hockey takes some of the same dark-romance instincts as Rich Demons of Darkwood and drops them into a sports world shot through with organized crime. The heroine wakes up from a coma with no memory of who she is, and that missing past becomes the whole engine of the story.

The hockey arena is the first clue.

Kennedy feels drawn there before she understands why, and the NHL stars she meets inside feel wrong in exactly the right way. They insist they do not know her, but their attention says otherwise. Then Greyson enters the picture, carrying even more history, even more danger, and the sense that the men around her are hiding a life soaked in violence.

Across No Pucking Way and Our Pucking Way, the series mixes amnesia, second-chance tension, possessive romance, and mafia trouble. The hockey setting gives it celebrity shine and locker-room intensity, but the real hook is the question of what Kennedy lost, what the men took from her, and whether any of them can survive the truth once it comes back.

The tone is dark contemporary, but a little glossier than the Darkwood books. There is glamour here, and public fame, but it sits right beside old criminal loyalties and a group dynamic built on obsession as much as love.

If you want hockey romance with memory loss, danger, and men who are far more complicated than they look in the spotlight, this series does exactly that.
