Series background & context

Rich As Sin is a dark billionaire trilogy, but it moves with the pressure of mafia romance. The whole story stays close to one central couple, Lincoln Theroux and Bella, who is also drawn into the story under the name Rose. From the start, it is built on revenge. Lincoln believes a rival destroyed his life by killing his young wife, and he has spent years shaping himself around payback.

Then Bella steps into the line of fire.

That is what gives the trilogy its drive. What should have been a clean, strategic move turns messy the moment desire gets involved. Lincoln is not set up as a gentle or emotionally available hero. He is controlled, cold, and absolutely committed to his vendetta. Bella is not a passive bystander, either. The deeper she gets pulled into his orbit, the more she has to decide how much risk she can take and how much of herself she is willing to harden to survive.

The books escalate in the way one-couple trilogies are supposed to. His Dark Obsession sets the trap. Her Dark Vengeance shifts the balance and gives Bella more agency inside the storm. Their Dark Empire pushes both of them into the full consequences of the world they have built around revenge, loyalty, and desire. Because the same pair anchors all three books, the emotional arc has more room to turn ugly, intimate, and complicated.

This series was written with Vivian Wood, and you can feel that blend. It has luxury, high tension, sexual obsession, and a constant undercurrent of violence. Expect penthouses, clubs, enemies with long memories, and a romance that only works because both people are changed by the damage around them.
