Refuge (Cynthia Sax) Books in Order

The Refuge series takes place around a remote settlement that shelters some of the universe's most dangerous, damaged, and misunderstood beings. It is not a gentle place, but it offers people who have nowhere else to go a chance to make a life.

That chance comes with rules, enemies, and consequences.

Each novel follows a different couple and can be read on its own, but the settlement and its residents connect the books. The series is dark, sensual, and survival-focused. Romance does not erase trauma, but it gives the characters a reason to defend something beyond themselves.
