Rebel Cyborgs follows warriors left behind after a mass cyborg rebellion. They are free of their makers, but freedom does not erase what was done to them. Many are injured, angry, isolated, or still trapped close to the systems that exploited them.

Each book centers on one cyborg and the woman who becomes impossible for him to ignore. The romances are standalone, though the series shares a history of laboratories, hostile forces, damaged bodies, and the ongoing effort to build a safe future for cyborgs.

Containing Malice begins with Malice and Illona, a medic forced to take part in experiments on cyborgs while secretly trying to help them. Under Strain pairs a malfunctioning warrior with Kamyelle, a peaceful survivor on a remote planet. In Baring Grudge, a cyborg guarding a station meets a human saboteur determined to destroy battle robots.

The series likes a tough mismatch: a warrior who expects betrayal and a woman with her own urgent reason not to trust him. Explosives, pursuit, old enemies, and difficult rescues create the external pressure, while the romance asks whether either character can risk being known.

There is no easy recovery here.
