Series background & context

Dauntless Cyborgs continues Cynthia Sax's large cyborg universe after Cyborg Sizzle, Cyborg Space Exploration, Rebel Cyborgs, and Cyborg Unity. It is still designed so that readers can begin with these books, because each main installment follows a new couple.

The threats have grown larger.

The series focuses on cyborgs who face missions with consequences far beyond one ship or one settlement. They are guards, pilots, and medics, and the women beside them are just as involved in the danger. Rescue attempts, espionage, stolen technology, and potential planet-level disasters all drive the action.

Strike Zone pairs Kesser, a leader's daughter attempting her first rescue mission, with Strike, a cyborg who is not quite what she assumes. Drift Would follows a gifted cyborg pilot and Roshini, a spy whose secrets may put them on opposite sides. Claiming Cure brings together two medics who cannot afford to be distracted, even when they realize the attraction between them is not going away.

These books use the familiar Sax mix of intense romance and fast, dangerous plotting. The cyborg heroes are protective, but the heroines have jobs to do, people to save, and decisions that cannot be made for them.

Duty and desire keep colliding.

Read in order for the unfolding larger threat, or start with the profession and romance setup that interests you most. Each book gives its featured couple a complete resolution while leaving the shared universe open for more.
