Ravencrest Manor has survived generations of scandal, death, witchcraft, and family secrets. This part of the Ravencrest Saga continues the story of Belinda Moorland, the young governess employed by wealthy widower Eric Manning. She is joined by Grant Phister, Ravencrest's sharp-eyed butler and a trusted ally when the supernatural gets out of hand. Around them are the Manning children, household staff, local clergy, restless spirits, and several people with motives that are far from innocent.

The eight installments, beginning with Begotten and ending with Possession, were first released as a serialized story. That structure gives the sequence a brisk, episode-by-episode rhythm. Each entry picks up the danger from the one before it, while adding another bad sign: an ominous visitor, a disturbing discovery, a murder, an unholy pregnancy, or a threat that turns a familiar part of the estate into a trap.

At the center is an escalating demonic presence linked to Ravencrest's long and ugly past. Father Antonio DeVargas becomes an important figure as the haunting shifts toward questions of faith, evil, and whether the manor can be cleansed at all. Belinda and Grant are forced to piece together clues while keeping the people around them alive. Meanwhile, the household's romantic rivalries and private schemes keep running right alongside the supernatural crisis.

Expect a modern gothic soap opera with horror at its core. Ravencrest is an enormous old English manor transplanted to the hills above the fictional California town of Devilswood, so the setting matters as much as any one character. There are hidden rooms, cursed spaces, old portraits, strange dreams, and a staff that has learned not to dismiss a scream in the night.

The stakes grow personal fast.

Readers should start with The Ghosts of Ravencrest and The Witches of Ravencrest before entering Begotten. Those earlier novels introduce Belinda, Eric, Grant, the Manning family, and the house's many resident problems. Then read the Exorcism installments in order. The story is built to keep moving, and skipping ahead means missing the clues, betrayals, and growing dread that make Ravencrest such an unsafe place to call home.
