Raunchy Royals takes Sabrina Paige's taste for public scandal and forbidden attraction and drops it into a fictional monarchy. The setting is Protrovia, a small royal world full of bodyguards, tabloids, palace rules, and people behaving badly in very expensive rooms.

The series starts with Prince Albert, and the title tells you most of what you need to know about the tone. Prince Albert, or Albie, is a playboy crown prince with a terrible reputation and zero interest in acting respectable. Belle is a more grounded outsider who winds up tied to him through an impulsive Las Vegas marriage and, soon after, a family engagement that makes their situation even messier. The book plays like a very adult fairy tale, if the fairy tale had paparazzi, dirty jokes, and two people who cannot stop provoking each other.

Public image is half the battle here.

The second book, Her Bodyguard, runs alongside the same royal world from a different angle. This time the focus shifts to Princess Alexandra, Albie's headline-making sister, and Max Donnelley, the ex-Marine hired to keep her out of trouble. Alexandra is restless, impulsive, and used to slipping away from security. Max is all discipline and rules. That mismatch gives the book its whole engine. He is trying to protect the princess. She is trying not to be controlled. Neither plan holds for long.

What connects the series is not court politics or heavy worldbuilding. It is the pressure of living under constant scrutiny. In these books, every bad decision can become a story, every secret relationship carries a real professional risk, and even private feelings are shaped by the machinery of royal life. Protrovia matters because it traps the characters inside ceremony, expectation, and family duty, even when all they want is something simple and private.

The tone is playful, glossy, and openly steamy. The books are full of banter, status clashes, security headaches, and the kind of scandal that only seems to make the attraction worse. They are not trying to be realistic portraits of monarchy. They are fast, sexy contemporary romances that use the royal setup to raise the stakes and make the fantasy bigger.
