If Playing for Keeps is Rose's fun hockey lane, Pucked Up Love is the slightly messier, more openly chaotic cousin. These players are stars on the ice, but off it they are juggling media trouble, reputation issues, old grudges, secret relationships, and any number of terrible romantic ideas.
The series thrives on strong trope setups. There is a coach's daughter, a fake-dating announcement, a drunken marriage to a best friend's sister, and a romance with a rival's sister that risks blowing up old history.
