Private Passions Books in Order

Private Passions is a companion series to Veterans Affairs. Instead of introducing a whole new world, it slips behind the bedroom door and stays with the couples readers already know from Red Deer. These are shorter, steamier stories, but they are not only about sex. These are not big, sprawling novels.

They are bonus scenes with real emotional weight. Because they are set in the same Red Deer world, you still get the sense of community that makes Veterans Affairs appealing, but the lens is tighter. The outside world fades a little. What matters is the couple, the room they are in, and the issue they have to work through together. That can make the stories feel almost like epilogues, but in a good way, less about wrapping things up and more about showing what love looks like after the first rush.

If you enjoy companion pieces that deepen a couple rather than restarting them, Private Passions is a nice addition to the bigger Red Deer books. It is best read as a side path, not a replacement. Come for the heat, stay for the tenderness, and expect stories that remember happily ever after still needs maintenance.
