Phoebe's Gift widens the world a little. Phoebe Lapp inherits her grandmother's surprising dream of an Amish pony farm for hurting English children, and that gives the series one of its most memorable premises. The book blends work, legacy, and romance, while also showing how the Amish and English worlds meet in ways that are not always tidy.

Then Mary's Home brings things back to heartbreak and rebuilding. Mary Yoder faces the collapse of the future she thought was certain, and two very different possible paths open before her. One leads deeper into the familiar world she knows. The other asks whether comfort and understanding can cross the line between Amish and English life.

Across all three books, the valley matters. It is not just pretty scenery. It is a place where people come to heal, to work, to bury the past, and sometimes to admit that the past still has a hold on them.
