Out of Olympus Books in Order

Out of Olympus is a paranormal romantic-comedy series that imagines Greek gods trying to manage love, pride, punishment, and modern life in Charleston, South Carolina. The central figures are Triton, Dionysus, Hermes, and Eros, each of whom has divine powers and plenty of reasons to misuse them.

The first book, A Touch of Greek, follows Triton after Zeus banishes him from Olympus for bad behavior. His route home requires something he is not used to finding: a mortal woman who loves him for more than his looks or his godly status. Sophia, who is recovering from an eye operation, sees more in him than he expects.

The remaining books give Dionysus, Hermes, and Eros their own romantic problems. Memory loss, stolen magical objects, a professor fascinated by ancient Greece, a florist, and meddling gods all help turn divine confidence into complicated human feelings.

Olympus is never far away.

Zeus, Hera, and other gods interfere freely, which gives the series much of its comic energy. The heroes may have supernatural strength and centuries of experience, but their biggest obstacles are usually arrogance, jealousy, hurt feelings, and the frightening possibility of being sincere with someone.

Expect banter, magical mishaps, fish-out-of-water moments, and open-door romance. These are lighter, funnier stories than Folsom's darker vampire and guardian series, though each book still includes enough danger and divine plotting to keep the couples under pressure.

Begin with A Touch of Greek and continue through A Scent of Greek, A Taste of Greek, and A Hush of Greek. The romances stand on their own, but the ongoing jokes and friendships work best in sequence.
