Omega War Books in Order

Omega War is the Four Horsemen universe at full campaign scale. The earlier Revelations books uncover the trap forming around humanity. Omega War is what happens when the trap finally snaps shut. Earth is invaded, major mercenary companies are scattered, and the surviving leaders have to decide whether to disappear long enough to protect the species or gamble everything on a counterattack they may not be strong enough to win.

That choice drives the whole line.

The series starts with flight and fracture. A Fiery Sunset throws Jim Cartwright, Nigel Shirazi, Alexis Cromwell, Sansar Enkh, and the other major players into positions none of them really wanted. Some are on the run. Some are trying to rally fleets. Some are navigating tribunal politics that were never honest to begin with. What makes the books work is that the military scale keeps growing while the emotional stakes stay personal. These are not anonymous admirals moving markers on a map. These are damaged leaders trying to hold together companies, colonies, and species-level hope.

As the line continues, the tone shifts from survival to counteroffensive. Humanity regroups, fights for colonies, hunts for advantage, and keeps learning that the Mercenary Guild and its allies are not the only long-term problem in the galaxy. Mark Wandrey's books inside the line help with both ends of that movement. Dirty Deeds steps aside from grand strategy to follow veteran merc Abraham Murdock and remind you what war looks like from one battered life. A Pale Dawn and Alabaster Noon bring the lens back out toward fleet action and final collision.

These books like momentum.

But they are not only about explosions. Omega War also strengthens the universe's recurring interests in leadership, logistics, inheritance, and the cost of being useful in somebody else's hierarchy. Alexis's Winged Hussars, Jim's Cavaliers, and the Golden Horde are all fighting the same war, but not from the same position or with the same kinds of damage.

It is best read in order, because the military and political situation changes fast and carries consequences forward.
