Series background & context

No Place Like Home, written with Delancey Stewart, is a small-town romance series set in Solano Creek. The books follow people who arrive with their own plans, baggage, and reasons for keeping love at a distance, then find that a close-knit community can make a fresh start feel possible.

Head Over Cleats introduces Iris Copeland, a divorced single mother who has returned home, is raising her daughter, and hopes to open a pet shop with her best friend. Trey Callihan, a professional baseball player, arrives to help his grandfather. Iris intends to avoid him, especially once her daughter starts to adore him.

The town is central to the series. Solano Creek is small enough for people to know one another's stories, but it also gives the characters space to build new routines. Local businesses, family ranches, community events, and a new baseball stadium all bring people into one another's paths.

In Falling For Mr. Safety, Juniper Carlisle is putting together an ambitious opening-day show for the stadium. Carter Callihan, who works in celebrity security and prefers carefully managed risk, becomes the last person she wants as a regular part of her chaotic plans.

The romances are built around second chances, family ties, single-parent life, and the challenge of deciding whether a place that once felt too small might actually be home. The books have plenty of comic mishaps, but the characters' desire for security and belonging gives the stories real weight.

Each novel centers on a different couple and can be read on its own. Reading in order offers more time with the Callihan family and the people who make Solano Creek feel lived-in.

Start with Head Over Cleats for the introduction to Iris, Trey, and the town. It sets up the family connections and homecoming theme that carry into the next book.
