The Murdergram series follows a group of young women whose search for work leads them into a life they never expected. The first book begins with four broke friends entering a church on Long Island looking for an opportunity. What they find is an introduction to a hidden murder-for-hire operation, and the women emerge with the skills and connections to become known as the Cristál Clique.

At the center is Cristal, who leads a close-knit group that is hungry for money, status, and a way out of their circumstances. The women learn how to survive in an underworld where being good at the job is not enough.
