Midnight Thief Books in Order

The Midnight Thief books are YA fantasy adventures set in Forge, a hard-edged city where palace power, street survival, and criminal guilds collide. At the center is Kyra, a resourceful teenage thief who knows how to climb walls, evade guards, and make do with very little. She has lived by her own rules for a long time, but the city is about to make that impossible.

In Midnight Thief, Kyra is pulled toward the Assassins Guild just as Tristam of Brancel, a young palace knight, is hunting the Demon Riders who killed his best friend. The Demon Riders are feared warriors who ride wildcats, and their attacks have left Forge tense and divided. Kyra and Tristam start on opposite sides, with plenty of reasons not to trust each other.

Then survival makes cooperation necessary.

The series gets its momentum from raids, investigations, guild politics, and secrets that change how Kyra sees herself. Forge matters as more than a backdrop. Its crowded streets and guarded palace create a world where information is valuable, loyalties shift quickly, and nearly everyone is trying to protect something.

Kyra is capable from the start, but her real struggle is figuring out what to do with power once she has it. Tristam's hunt for justice, James's place within the assassin world, and the growing threat around the city all push her toward choices that do not have clean answers. Romance is part of the story, though the main focus stays on trust, identity, and responsibility.

The prequel novella Poison Dance follows James before the main novels. It has an older, grittier feel and fills in some of the history behind the Assassins Guild. It can be read first, but the author recommends starting with Midnight Thief for a smoother introduction to the world and its characters.

Daughter of Dusk continues Kyra's story as conflict spreads beyond Forge and tensions rise inside its council. Her connection to the Demon Riders becomes harder to ignore, while the people closest to her are carrying secrets of their own. The stakes grow from one girl's fight to stay alive into a fight over what kind of future the city can have.

Expect quick-moving fantasy, uneasy teamwork, and a heroine who is never waiting around to be rescued.
