Midnight Liaisons is a paranormal romance series built around a dating agency for supernatural singles. The agency’s clients include shifters, vampires, faeries, harpies, and other members of a hidden world known as the Alliance. Its staff may know how to find a match for almost anyone, but their own love lives are much messier.

The series starts with Beauty Dates the Beast. Bathsheba Ward works at Midnight Liaisons alongside her sister, Sarah, but as a human she is supposed to remain outside the agency’s matchmaking pool. When a client needs a last-minute stand-in, Bath steps into a date with Beau Russell, a wealthy were-cougar who also holds real power in the local supernatural community. Their relationship opens the door to the series' larger world of clan rules, uneasy alliances, and romance across species lines.

The dating service is the anchor.

Each main novel introduces a new central couple while bringing familiar characters back into the action. Desperately Seeking Shapeshifter follows Sarah after a conflict between shifter groups places her in danger. She turns to Ramsey, a quiet werebear, to pose as her fiancé and keep the wolves at bay. In Must Love Fangs, agency matchmaker Marie Bellavance tries to find a supernatural solution to the illness that threatens her life, while were-cougar Joshua Russell hopes she will choose him instead.

The books are generally light, sexy, and funny, but the stakes are not only romantic. Characters face strict pack customs, pressure to mate, questions about who may be turned into a supernatural creature, and disputes between rival groups. The agency can arrange a first date, but it cannot make old grudges, fear, or family expectations disappear.

Love gets tangled up with survival.

Several novellas expand the world between the full-length novels. Vixen, Speed Mating, and Single Wolf Female focus on shifters dealing with identity, mating heat, and pack leadership. Bear Naked, Claws & Effect, and Tiger by the Tail give other characters their own shorter romances while continuing the series' interest in people pushed into difficult situations by supernatural rules.

The later novels move the ongoing world forward without abandoning the matchmaking premise. Wanted follows Ryder as a dangerous secret about her nature comes to the surface, while Alpha Ever After revisits the friction between were-cougar Savannah and werewolf Connor. Readers can enjoy many entries as individual romances, but starting with Beauty Dates the Beast makes the returning characters, clan tensions, and little callbacks more satisfying.
