Series background & context

Meet Me at the Altar takes Samantha Chase's love of weddings and pushes it fully into rom-com territory. The books revolve around a wedding-focused business and the people orbiting it, planners, bakers, groomsmen, siblings, reluctant helpers, and the occasional grump who has no interest in romance until it lands directly in his path.

That setup gives the series a built-in stream of parties, tastings, proposal plans, family gatherings, and event disasters. The Engagement Embargo opens with a hero who has failed at love often enough to swear it off, only to spend more time than ever with the woman he should probably stop overlooking. With This Cake, You May Kiss the Groomsman, The Proposal Playbook, Groomed to Perfection, and The I Do Over keep the same mix of banter, chemistry, and wedding pressure.

The tone is cheerful without being weightless. Characters still bring baggage, fear, and old family hurts to the table. They just happen to be discussing all of it while frosting cupcakes or planning someone else's big day.

If you like contemporary romance with strong friend groups, wedding-business energy, and lots of chances for feelings to break through in public, this series delivers exactly that.
