Series background & context

Love Across Time is Annie Seaton's time-travel romance series. These stories use a shift across years or centuries to bring present-day characters into contact with lives, loves and unfinished business from another era.

The time-travel element adds more than a puzzle. It puts characters in unfamiliar places, challenges what they think they know about themselves, and makes the idea of home feel less certain. A modern problem can be tied to a historical choice, while a romance must survive the question of whether two people can truly belong in the same time.

Love has a complicated timetable.

The books lean into the emotional side of time travel rather than hard science-fiction rules. Readers can expect romance first, with historical settings, family connections, secrets and fish-out-of-water moments adding the tension.

Seaton uses the past as a living part of the story. Customs, travel and social expectations matter, and the characters have to decide whether changing course is possible or wise. That gives the series a mix of escapism and personal stakes.

The novels are linked by their premise and tone, but each centres on its own couple and time-crossing problem. They work well for readers who like contemporary romance with a historical twist.

Start at the beginning to enjoy the series concept as it unfolds.
