Long Mountain Heroes Books in Order

Long Mountain Heroes is a short, focused romantic suspense line built around the Blacksheep brothers, men shaped by military service, law enforcement, and deep ties to home. Even with only a couple of books, the series has a clear identity.

Nick and Travis Blacksheep are former Marines who have come back to work as cops. That return to familiar ground does not mean life has become simple. Both men carry distance inside them. They know duty, discipline, and how to stay closed off. The books ask whether love, danger, and home can crack that armor.

The emotional bruises matter as much as the physical danger.

In Alpha Warrior and Twilight Warrior, the suspense plots are immediate and personal. A woman is being hunted. A serial killer may be circling back. Old memories have not stayed old. The romance grows from protection, yes, but also from recognition. These characters tend to meet people who see through the hard exterior faster than they would like.

Because the series is compact, the pacing is brisk. There is very little drift. Thurlo gets the couple into trouble quickly and then lets their shared pressure do most of the work. At the same time, the books still keep a sense of place, with the Navajo setting and family inheritance doing more than simply coloring the background.

If you want a smaller Harlequin-connected series with wounded heroes, competent heroines, and a strong Southwestern pulse, Long Mountain Heroes is an easy place to start.
