Lizzie Grace is one of Keri Arthur's longest and most welcoming series, especially if you like urban fantasy with strong casework, a found family feel, and a heroine who keeps getting dragged toward power she never asked for. Lizzie is a witch by birth, from one of the old blue-blood families, but she wants as little as possible to do with that world. She heads to the Faelan Werewolf Reservation hoping to build something quieter.

That is not what she gets.

Lizzie does not face it alone. The first book, Blood Kissed, lays out the key ingredients. Lizzie is an outsider in a dangerous place, trying to use just enough of her gift to help without getting swallowed by the expectations attached to her family name. From there, the series grows fast. Hell's Bell, Hunter Hunted, and Demon's Dance establish the reservation as a place where the next supernatural disaster is never very far away. Later books deepen the mythology around the wellspring, Lizzie's family, and the price of wild magic.

One of the big pleasures here is the setting. Castle Rock and the Faelan reservation feel lived in. They have rules, politics, neighbors, grudges, and the sort of history that makes every new crime feel tied to something older. Arthur uses that well. Even when the threat is huge, ancient vampires, revenge-minded wraiths, skin-wearing entities, godlike forces pressing at the edges, the investigation always begins somewhere concrete: a body, a scent, a missing person, a rumor nobody wants to test.

The tone is a good mix of dark and companionable. There are real stakes, and some of the creatures Lizzie faces are ugly work, but the books also make room for friendship, banter, and the small domestic details that make a long series worth living in. Belle is a big part of that. So is the way Arthur lets relationships change over time rather than resetting them every book.

By the middle and later novels, Lizzie has become more central to the reservation than she ever meant to be. She is no longer simply surviving on the edges. She is protecting people, carrying authority, and dealing with the consequences of power becoming harder to ignore.

That shift gives the series real momentum.
