Lizzie and Darcy Mystery Books in Order

Like the title suggests, this spin-off narrows the focus. Instead of moving to a new Austen heroine in each book, the Lizzie and Darcy stories stay with Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy after the events of Pride and Premeditation. The result is part Regency mystery series, part slow-burn relationship story, with the pair solving cases while they figure out what kind of partners they can be. You can start here, but reading Pride and Premeditation first gives the partnership more history.

This one is more serial than the earlier trilogy.

Because this is a direct sequel line, the supporting cast matters more here than it does in the standalone Austen mystery books. Jane Bennet, Bingley, and other familiar figures are part of the social circle, the emotional stakes, and sometimes the case itself. The setting also opens out in useful ways. One book leans into London offices, interviews, and urban danger. The next brings in a country house, family history, and the delicious unease of being trapped with a mystery under one roof.

What carries the series from book to book is the sense that Lizzie and Darcy are trying to build something equal in a world that does not make equality easy. The mysteries are twisty, but the deeper question is whether trust can keep pace with ambition, pride, and old expectations. If you want more continuity, more romance, and more time with Price's version of Lizzie and Darcy, this is the series that stays with them long enough to let both the crimes and the feelings get complicated.
