Author bio

Krista Ritchie writes nearly all of her books with her identical twin, Becca Ritchie, and that partnership is the key to understanding her career. The sisters grew up in Peachtree City, Georgia, a place Krista has jokingly described as the land of golf carts, and they started telling stories when they were kids. On their official bio, Krista is the science nerd of the pair, while Becca is the comic book geek. That split feels right for their books, which often mix big feelings with careful plotting.

Writing came early. Becca started novels first, and Krista followed soon after, eventually finding that they worked best as a team. By college, they were seriously building stories together, and Krista's biology degree fed the analytical side she still brings to their process. In interviews, the sisters have described that balance pretty simply: one builds the skeleton, the other keeps adding muscle and heart.

Then came Addicted to You.

That 2013 novel introduced Lily Calloway and Loren Hale, childhood best friends hiding sex addiction and alcoholism behind a fake relationship. It also launched the world most readers know best, the sprawling Addicted universe that runs through Ricochet, Addicted For Now, Kiss the Sky, Hothouse Flower, Damaged Like Us, and many more. Readers who fall for these books usually fall for the long game. The romances matter, but so do recovery arcs, family loyalty, privacy, fame, and watching characters grow across several novels instead of just one.

Krista and Becca did not stay in one lane. Amour Amour and Infini brought them into the backstage world of Vegas acrobats. The Raging Ones let them play in young adult science fiction, with a world built around the day each person is meant to die. More recently, Dishonestly Yours and its sequels turned toward grifters, small-town tension, and morally gray people trying, maybe, to build an honest life.

At the center of Krista's work is usually someone who feels watched, boxed in, or badly misunderstood.

That is true whether the setting is a soda empire, a celebrity family surrounded by bodyguards, a cursed harbor town in Love & Other Cursed Things, or a futuristic planet in The Raging Ones. Her books come back again and again to the same questions: who gets to know the real you, what do families owe each other, and can love help people change without turning into another kind of control? Even when the premise is big, the feeling is personal. That is why so many readers get attached to the side characters too. Everyone seems to carry a history.

The plain facts tell the rest of the story. Krista and Becca became New York Times and USA Today bestselling authors, and they have kept expanding the same connected worlds while starting new ones. They still write together full time, still share extra scenes and background material for readers who want more, and still sound like two longtime story nerds having fun. Their official bio also mentions a cat named Frodo Baggins, which feels exactly on brand.
