Series background & context

Aerial Ethereal is the original series name for these Vegas acrobat romances, and that older title fits the mood. The books are big, physical, and a little dreamy, but they are also about bruises, contracts, rehearsal pressure, and the strange closeness that comes from performing dangerous acts with the same people every day. This is a world of rigging lines, spotlights, late-night practices, and bodies pushed right to the edge.

The first story, Amour Amour, follows Thora James, a young woman who wants one thing more than anything else, a place in a sexy acrobatic show on the Vegas Strip. She is talented and stubborn, but talent alone does not make the road easy. Nikolai Kotova enters as a charming, larger-than-life performer who understands the circus world far better than she does. Their dynamic carries a lot of the first book. He is confident, protective, and deeply embedded in a life that still feels new and risky to Thora.

The second book, Infini, stays in the same performance world but shifts focus to a different couple, Luka Kotova and Baylee Wright. Their story has more history baked into it. They are exes, coworkers, and part of a company that does not leave much room for personal mistakes. That makes the tension less about a first spark and more about what happens when old feelings are forced back into the open under rules that were built to keep everyone in line.

What makes this series work is the setting. Vegas is not just a backdrop here. It shapes everything. Fame is local and immediate. One bad performance can change a career. One contract can keep people apart. One injury can end what a character has spent years chasing. Even the romances feel more intense because the characters live inside a world where trust is physical. Someone catches you or they do not.

These books also lean hard into found family. Performers, coaches, siblings, and cast members create a tight circle, even when they fight. The relationships around the central couples matter, because this is the kind of series where everyone is always half at work and half in each other's lives.

So if you want romance with real performance stakes, lots of athletic tension, and a backstage world full of loyalty, jealousy, and high-flying ambition, Aerial Ethereal gives you that in full.
