Series background & context

The King Crime Family stories are mafia romances about people pulled into criminal power structures they cannot simply ignore. The books combine danger, forbidden attachment, and characters trying to choose their own futures while powerful families expect obedience.

Running is rarely enough.

Titles such as Runaway Bride, On the Run, His Gift, and Two Strangers suggest stories shaped by escape, sudden connection, and the consequences of crossing the wrong people. The characters may begin with a plan to disappear or keep their distance, but the criminal world has a way of turning every private decision into a public risk.

The series has a tense, protective tone. Its romances are driven by outside threats as well as the internal battle between fear and desire. Readers who like mafia stories with fugitives, guarded men, and women determined to keep their freedom will find the core appeal here.

Start with Runaway Bride for the clearest introduction, then continue through the books in order to follow the connected crime-family atmosphere.
