Author bio
Jeremy Robinson grew up in Beverly, Massachusetts, a coastal town that seems almost built for someone who would later write about sea monsters, hidden worlds, and strange things just out of sight. He has said his father helped spark his love of science fiction, and you can see that early fuel all through his work. Comic books, giant monsters, space stories, and old-school adventure never really left him.
That part of him stayed loud.
Before he was known for novels, Robinson started out as an illustrator, working on comic books and comic strips and taking on small indie projects. Somewhere along the way, the pictures stopped being enough. The bigger pull was story. He shifted into screenwriting first, then novels, and that move makes a lot of sense once you read him. His books tend to move like a movie, fast, visual, and always looking for the next sharp turn.
He has written a lot of them. Under his own name, and under the pen names Jeremy Bishop and Jeremiah Knight, he has built a big shelf of thrillers, horror novels, creature features, and science fiction stories. Some readers come in through the Jack Sigler books, starting with Pulse and the larger Chess Team run. Others find him through Project Nemesis, which helped make him a go-to name for modern giant-monster fiction. And plenty of people discover him through the more mind-bending side of his work, especially Infinite, The Others, and The Dark.
What ties those books together is not one genre so much as a way of thinking. Robinson likes to take a wild idea, time travel to the life of Christ, a monster in Boston, a hidden world under Antarctica, a man trapped in layers of reality, and treat it like a real problem that real people have to survive. He mixes science, mythology, religion, history, conspiracy lore, and creature horror, but the books rarely feel fussy. They are built to move.
He also likes teams, oddballs, and people under pressure. You get black ops soldiers, private investigators, washed-up heroes, stubborn scientists, and regular people who are suddenly very far from a normal day. Even when the stakes get huge, and they often do, there is usually a human center holding the chaos together.
Under Jeremy Bishop, he leaned harder into horror with books like The Sentinel and The Raven. Under Jeremiah Knight, he explored post-apocalyptic fiction in the Hunger books. Those pen names make sense, but they never feel like completely different writers. They feel more like different doors into the same imagination.
Outside the books, Robinson has stayed close to the writing community. He founded New Hampshire AuthorFest, a nonprofit built to support literacy in New Hampshire. He has also seen several of his stories adapted into comics, including work connected to Project Nemesis and Island 731.
Now based in New Hampshire with his wife and three children, Robinson remains one of those writers whose interests are easy to spot on the page. He likes monsters. He likes big questions. He likes throwing decent people into impossible situations and seeing what survives. If you want smart, speedy novels that are happy to get weird, that is very much his lane.
