Intrigue Noir is a multi-author line with a darker, sexier, more morally gray tone than standard category romantic suspense. Carol Ericson's contribution, Toxic, fits that approach well.

The story follows a private investigator working a missing-mistress case that leads him to a bayside bar, a former showgirl, blackmail, and a string of bodies.
