Hotshots Books in Order

Hotshots is set among Central Oregon wildfire crews, where smokejumpers, fire specialists, and other first responders work in a world built on skill, danger, and trust. The jobs are physically demanding, and the characters carry that intensity into their personal lives.

Each book follows a different couple, but the fire community links them. Crewmates become friends, old history resurfaces, and emergencies make it hard to pretend that feelings can stay safely contained.

The stakes are real.

Burn Zone begins with smokejumper Lincoln Reid facing the arrival of Jacob Hartman, his late best friend's younger brother. High Heat shifts to an injured jumper and the neighbor who helps him care for a lost dog. Feel the Fire reunites two former high school sweethearts during an arson investigation, while Up in Smoke turns an unexpected baby into a fragile new family.

The series balances on-the-job risk with hurt/comfort, second chances, and found-family warmth. Each romance has its own conclusion, but reading in order lets the crew and their shared world build naturally.
