Series background & context

Hidden Sins is Katee Robert's darker romantic suspense series. These books trade ballrooms and clubs for crime scenes, cult trauma, wilderness danger, and survivors who cannot fully outrun the past.

The Devil's Daughter opens with Eden Collins, a woman who escaped a cult only to be pulled back when new murders raise old questions. The Hunting Grounds moves into a remote investigation where the land itself makes danger harder to escape. The Surviving Girls follows a woman whose survival of earlier violence becomes central to a new threat.

The romance matters because trust is hard here.

Robert pairs investigators, survivors, and protectors in stories where attraction arrives under terrible circumstances. The result is tense, grounded, and more procedural than many of the author's later fantasy romances.

Read in order if you want the escalating sense of how old violence keeps reaching into new lives.
