Series background & context

Crimson Sails is Katee Robert's fantasy adventure romance series set in Threshold, a dangerous realm of portals, magic, seafarers, monsters, and rebellions. It begins when Evelyn, a witch with sticky fingers and bad taste in exes, steals from the wrong vampire and falls through a portal into another world.

The Cŵn Annwn, a ship's crew led by telekinetic captain Bowen, pull her from the water and give her a choice: join or die. From there the series follows new romantic pairings and the wider fight moving through Threshold, including Lizzie and Maeve in Blood on the Tide and Nox, Bastian, and Siobhan in Rebel in the Deep.
