Series background & context

Harmony Glen looks like Karla Doyle's more rustic monster-romance playground. With titles like A Troll in the Hay, Rock 'n' Troll, and Wood You Be Vine?, the series gives off a cozy, pun-happy energy right away, but there is still a clear throughline: strange heroes, a recurring community, and romances built to be warm, sexy, and fun.

The troll focus in the opening books helps set the tone. These are monster romances, but not ones trying to be relentlessly grim. Farming, local life, music, and vineyard imagery all suggest a world where the supernatural is folded into everyday routines instead of treated only as danger.

It is delightfully specific.

If you liked the comfort of Fate's Falls but want something with a slightly more rural, playful flavor, Harmony Glen seems built for that space. The books read like connected standalones, which makes them easy to sample, and the series branding makes a promise Doyle is usually good at keeping: odd-looking heroes, inviting worldbuilding, fast chemistry, and happy endings with heart.
