Halo: A Master Chief Story Books in Order

During the first year of humanity’s war with the Covenant, the Master Chief leads a daring counterattack under Avery Johnson’s guidance. The operation is meant to buy the UNSC time to learn about an enemy whose strengths, motives, and vulnerabilities remain largely unknown.

In 2526, with the Covenant War escalating, the Master Chief and Blue Team are sent to seize a disabled Covenant frigate carrying valuable technology. The mission takes them to a hostile, seemingly empty world, where a disgraced fleetmaster’s offer may conceal a deadly trap.

One year after Cortana’s galaxy-wide takeover, the Master Chief and Blue Team return to ruined Reach to retrieve vital assets from Dr. Halsey’s abandoned CASTLE Base. An alien occupying force pursues its own goal there, turning the mission into a crisis.
