The first book, Hall of Mosses, begins with a forest mystery but grows into an apocalyptic survival story. The trees direct Juniper toward safety at the Hall of Mosses, yet getting her loved ones there is not simple. Other people emerge from beneath the ruins with their own plans for the new world, creating a clash between competing ideas of what rebuilding should mean.

The final book, Vale of Fire, follows Juniper as she senses a fresh danger within the recovering world. The Champions continue to change alongside their elements, while Xavier Lamorte's hunger for power threatens to bring corruption back into a world that has already paid a terrible price. Nature's spirits remain part of the fight, but they do not make the choices easy.
