Gideon’s Riders Books in Order

Gideon's Riders returns to the Sectors after the events of the Beyond series, but it begins with a largely new group of characters and a different part of the rebuilding world. Sector One is led by Gideon Rios, whose people believe in love, community, and a future worth fighting for. The catch is that someone still has to do the fighting.

That job falls to Gideon's Riders, a close-knit force of motorcycle-riding soldiers trained to defend Sector One. They are admired by many people, feared by others, and used to treating sacrifice as part of the work. The series asks what happens when those warriors have to imagine lives beyond their next mission.

Ashwin starts with Ashwin Malhotra, a genetically engineered Makhai soldier sent to infiltrate the Riders. His mission becomes complicated by Dr. Kora Bellamy, a military doctor who once knew him and has spent years trying to build a quieter life. Their story introduces the Riders' culture, the Makhai Project, and the uneasy peace that followed the war.

The later books move through other members of the group and the people drawn into their orbit. Deacon follows Ana, Sector One's first female Rider, and Deacon, a guarded leader carrying the consequences of his former life as a mercenary and assassin. Ivan continues the series' interest in duty, attraction, political expectations, and people who have been taught that wanting happiness is a weakness.

The mood is action-forward and romantic, with motorcycle missions, old enemies, military secrets, and tense negotiations alongside the relationships. Like Beyond, it values found family and gives supporting characters plenty to do.

You do not need to read Beyond first. Readers who have will recognize parts of the world and occasional familiar faces, but Ashwin explains what newcomers need. Begin there and continue with Deacon and Ivan for the clearest experience of the developing cast and postwar stakes.
