Author bio

Georgia Toffolo was born in Torquay, Devon, in 1994, and grew up with the seaside close by. She has also spent much of her adult life in London, the city that gave her both her TV career and the setting for her first novel.

As a teenager, Toffolo thought the sensible path might be law. She talked about wanting to be a barrister, moved to London at eighteen, and took work where she could find it. One small job as an extra on Made in Chelsea turned into a bigger role, and by 2014 viewers knew her simply as Toff.

Television changed the plan.

She stayed with Made in Chelsea for several years, then won I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! in 2017. That win opened more doors: presenting work, guest appearances, charity shows, and the chance to write in a more serious way. Her first book, Always Smiling, came out in 2018 and mixed memoir-style life lessons with stories about friendship, family, dating, confidence, and living in public.

Romance was the next step, but it didn't come from nowhere. Toffolo has spoken about growing up loving romantic fiction and wanting to write the kind of warm, hopeful stories she liked to read. Her debut novel, Meet Me in London, arrived in 2020 with a Chelsea setting, a fake engagement, a fashion designer with big plans, and a department-store heir trying to hold his family business together.

The books are sunny, but they aren't weightless.

Across the Meet Me series, Toffolo follows four friends through love stories shaped by work, family, old hurt, and the places that push them to change. Meet Me in Hawaii sends surfer Malie Pukui into a new start after loss. Meet Me in Tahiti gives travel writer Zoe Tayler a second chance with the boy who once broke her heart. Meet Me at the Wedding returns to Devon, where Lily and Henry have to work through a painful shared past while a wedding hangs in the balance.

Readers tend to come to these books for the romance, the close female friendships, and the holiday feeling of the settings. London, Hawaii, Tahiti, and the Devon coast all matter to the stories. So do women trying to rebuild a life that doesn't look exactly like the one they planned.

Toffolo's public life has also made room for more personal subjects. She has spoken openly about acne and self-confidence, and later fronted a documentary looking at the skin-care industry and acne treatment. In recent years she has balanced books, broadcasting, social media work, and the talent agency she founded in 2020. The career path is a little unexpected, but that is part of the point: she followed the open door, then wrote her own next chapter.
