Series background & context
Georgia Peaches is a multi-author contemporary-romance series built around stories set in Georgia. Rather than following one continuing cast, the series offers separate novels and novellas by different writers. The shared appeal is the setting: small towns, family places, seasonal events, and relationships that give characters a reason to look again at the life they thought they wanted.
Denise Weimer contributed two holiday- and season-themed stories to the series, A Holiday Heart and A Harvest Heart. Both use the Georgia foothills as a backdrop and focus on women returning to familiar places while carrying unfinished grief, old disappointments, or plans that no longer feel as certain as they once did.
Home can be the hardest place to return to.
In A Holiday Heart, Atlanta makeup artist Ashlyn Jennings receives a mysterious key from her late grandmother’s estate. The key leads her to a mountain cabin connected with White Falls Lodge, even though Ashlyn is on the edge of starting a company and has little patience for being pulled away at Christmas. A snowstorm leaves her stranded near the lodge with its owner, Jake, while her grandmother’s hidden story begins to change what Ashlyn thinks she knows about success, love, and family.
A Harvest Heart follows Hope Richardson, an event planner who returns to Habersham County to help with her twin sister’s wedding and to revive a tearoom that was meant to be run by her mother and sister. The wedding will be held on Tucker Bradshaw’s family farm, which means Hope must face the college breakup she has never really resolved. Pumpkins, a corn maze, football nights, and wedding preparations give the story an autumn setting, but its real question is whether Hope can make room for a future different from the one she planned.
The two stories share a warm, contemporary style and a Christian-romance thread. Their conflicts are personal rather than dangerous: career pressures, family loss, broken trust, and the fear of hoping for more. The Georgia settings are not interchangeable. The mountains, lodge, farm, and local traditions give each romance a sense of place.
Because Georgia Peaches is a shared-world collection, readers can begin with either Denise Weimer title. Choose A Holiday Heart for a snowy Christmas escape and a family secret. Choose A Harvest Heart for a fall romance rooted in a wedding, a family business, and an old relationship getting another look.
