Peace on Cygnus VII leaves Braden restless and eager to investigate the ancient Traveler again. Returning to the ship reveals a renewed threat, forcing him and his companions to fight before humanity can safely reach for the stars.

Raiders steal lightning spears from Livestel, straining relations between humans and Wolfoids. Braden and Micah join Bounder and Gray Strider to track the attackers and recover the weapons before the theft damages their rebuilt society further.
