Series background & context
The Found by You books are less one straight-line romance and more an interconnected family world. The anchor couple is Griffin Chandler and Roxie, but the series keeps widening to include brothers, friends, parents, and the emotional debris that follows them all around. If you like sports romance that eventually turns into a whole clan saga, this is the Victoria H Smith series most built for that.
It starts with Found by You, where Griffin is a rising basketball star and Roxie is the girl other people overlook until he refuses to do the same. The attraction is quick, but the books are never only about chemistry. Griffin's public life, Roxie's private pain, and the difference between being desired and being truly seen create much of the early tension. That mix gives the series its voice, steamy, emotional, and very interested in what fame does to ordinary trust.
The Chandler men do not do anything halfway.
Loved by You takes Griffin and Roxie into Miami, where engagement, pro sports, paparazzi, and public opinion put pressure on a relationship that was already hard-won. After that, the series opens outward. Brody follows Griffin's older brother on a road-centered rescue romance. Enthrall shifts to Griffin's friend and roommate Diondre Combs, pairing bad-boy athlete energy with a heroine who works security and does not scare easily. Cherished by You circles back to Griffin and Roxie later in life, showing what happens after the big declarations, when a couple has to build something steadier.
The later entries are part of what makes this series feel more like a family portrait than a single romance run. Blake looks backward to an older generation with a second-chance love story tied to the Chandler family patriarch. Colton moves to the youngest brother, another basketball star, and turns public scandal into a more intimate story about self-destruction, recovery, and the person who sees behind the headlines. By then, the books have built a clear emotional map of the family: protective, messy, loyal, and always carrying old hurt into the next room.
Even though basketball is a recurring thread, the larger stakes are usually emotional rather than competitive. These books care about image, money, class, race, family expectation, and the way love can feel safest right when life becomes most chaotic. Many of the romances are interracial or multicultural, and Smith uses that range to keep the series grounded in very different personal histories, even when the heroes are rich or famous.
Read this series in order if you can.
That is especially true because some books are full-length novels while others are shorter novellas that deepen side characters or extend an existing couple's story. The reward for reading straight through is that the world feels fuller with each stop. You may come for Griffin and Roxie, but it is the whole Chandler orbit that makes the series hard to leave.
