The Ford Brothers series is a connected contemporary romance collection about a wealthy, close-knit family whose lives are tied to aviation, business, and a lot of unfinished emotional business. The family business and the aftereffects of loss sit in the background, but the heart of each book is the couple trying to make a workable life together.

Later books widen the family circle. Slippery When Wet introduces Dalton Ford and Amelia, a woman whose marriage has become painful and uncertain after an accident. In May Explode if Heated, Jack Ford meets Kristina during a job interview and learns that appearances reveal only part of her story. Trespassers will be Prosecuted and Restricted Access continue the connected world with new Ford-family relationships, single-parent concerns, business trouble, and threats that test who can be trusted.

These are adult romances with suspense and emotionally difficult situations. Controlling ex-partners, health crises, grief, alcoholism, family conflict, and danger appear in different books. The tone is direct and dramatic, with protective heroes, independent heroines, steamy relationships, and a family that tends to get involved whether anyone asks them to or not.

Read in order if you can. The first book is the best entry point because it introduces the brothers and the shared setting. From there, each romance has its own central couple, but the continuing family stories make the later installments more satisfying when you know the history behind the gatherings, grudges, and running jokes.
