Series background & context

Filthy Rich is a paranormal reverse-romance series set among wealth, gossip, and vampires with secrets to protect. The first book, Filthy Rich Vampire Playboys, introduces four privileged men known as the FRAP boys, Carter, Flynn, Smith, and Jayden. They are rich, famous in their social world, and have earned a reputation for treating women badly.

Serena Saxton sees them as the perfect subject for an exposé. She is a gossip columnist working for Reveal magazine and wants a story that could improve her career. She travels from her ordinary Manhattan house-share to the wealthier world of Carbon Beach and Malibu, intending to uncover what the men are hiding.

She finds more than a scandal.

The FRAP boys are vampires, and their private search for one woman to share is far more complicated than Serena expects. Her assignment places her in a difficult position. She wants the professional breakthrough that the story could bring, but the people she planned to expose are not as simple as their public image suggests.

The series mixes luxury settings and tabloid-style intrigue with paranormal romance. The core conflict comes from secrecy and trust. Serena has entered the group under false pretenses, while the men have a supernatural identity that they cannot safely reveal to the public. Attraction raises the stakes because everyone has something important to lose if the truth comes out.

Filthy Rich Vampire Husbands continues the story after the first book, following the consequences of the relationships and revelations already in motion. The books are adult paranormal romance and use a shared-relationship structure, so readers should be comfortable with Serena's connection to more than one hero.

Begin with Filthy Rich Vampire Playboys. It establishes Serena, the four men, the Carbon Beach setting, and the secret that drives the series. Expect wealth, romantic friction, a hidden vampire world, and a heroine who must decide whether the story she came to write is worth destroying the people behind it.
