Fated Wings Books in Order

Fated Wings is the series that helped launch C.R. Jane, and you can see why. It starts with a heroine in a terrible real-world situation, then cracks open into a bigger paranormal story piece by piece. The early books have the feeling of escape fiction mixed with mystery, while the later ones widen into prophecy, power, and identity on a much larger scale.

Eva Taylor is the heart of it.

When First Impressions opens, Eva has spent years locked away and abused. A strange letter to Rothmore College becomes her chance to escape, but freedom is only the first surprise. Once she reaches New York, she meets three strikingly different men and starts noticing that the world, and her own body, are not operating by ordinary rules. Forgotten Specters deepens that uncertainty, bringing in dreams, half-memory, and the growing sense that Eva's story started long before she understood it.

From there the series grows into something bigger than a college paranormal romance. The Fallen One adds important backstory through Damon's point of view. Forbidden Queens, Faded Realms, Faithless Dreams, and Fabled Kingdoms push Eva further into questions of lineage, power, and the lives she may have lived before. Angels, fae, and other supernatural threads all weave through the books, but the real draw is still Eva's emotional center and the men orbiting her.

The tone mixes hurt-comfort, mystery, obsessive devotion, and fantasy escalation. Jane likes heroines who start at a disadvantage and grow into their power, and this series may be the clearest version of that pattern. It also rewards reading in order, because so much of the impact comes from slowly learning what Eva is and why so many people are drawn to her.

If you want a paranormal romance series that begins intimate and bruised, then expands into something much more mythic, Fated Wings is one of the best places to meet Jane's style.
