Fated For Curves sits in a fun middle ground between paranormal romance and light science-fiction romance.

The books tie into the magical world around New Mexico and open with the feeling that the heroine's life is about to get stranger than she ever planned for. In A Touch of Fate, that means a curvy geek in a tiny house, a crash from the sky, and a shape-shifting visitor who drags her into a much larger mission. From there, the series keeps playing with fate, hidden power, and the idea that magic and the unknown are already much closer than they look.

It gets weird in a good way.

What makes this branch stand out is the blend. You are not getting straight alien romance, and you are not getting straight witch-town fantasy either. You get both, with shapeshifters, magical communities, off-world trouble, and heroines who usually discover they are more central to the whole situation than they expected. The stories move fast and keep romance close to the main plot, so the falling-in-love part is always tied to survival, destiny, or both.

That makes the tone a little different from the wolf and dragon books. The series still delivers curvy heroines, strong attraction, and danger, but there is also more of a road-trip, mission-driven feeling in places. Characters are trying to get somewhere, figure something out, or stop something bigger from breaking loose.

If you like paranormal romance that is willing to lean playful with its worldbuilding, and you do not mind a little spaceship energy crossing paths with witches and fate, this is a good series to try. It feels like Aidy Award using her usual romantic core in a slightly different sandbox.
