Series background & context

Dirty Little Secrets is Stacey Kennedy at her most polished blend of erotic romance and romantic suspense. The series follows a close circle of wealthy, powerful, or highly capable men whose private lives are exactly that, private, until scandal starts cracking the walls around them. Each book builds on the last, so while the romances stand on their own, the wider trouble running through the series gives it extra momentum.

These are not quiet love stories. They are about moguls, bodyguards, security experts, and club owners trying to hold onto control while tabloid pressure, blackmail, and hidden enemies keep pushing into their lives. The women at the center are not just decorative love interests, either. They are often the people who force the heroes to stop performing strength and start showing it.

The emotional setup is classic Kennedy.

A hero has rules. A heroine gets past them. Then the real trouble starts.

Across the books, the stakes move beyond attraction. Careers can implode, reputations can be wrecked, and private pain has a way of surfacing at the worst possible moment. Even so, the series never loses sight of the romance. The danger is there to sharpen the connection, not drown it out. If you like alpha heroes, secrecy, loyalty, and a strong through-line of suspense across linked couples, Dirty Little Secrets is one of her best series to read in order.
