Craig Blackmore is a weak witch on magic-starved Greenacres, but Earth may tell a different story. A legacy slot at College Arcane opens the door to a new Demon Accords generation.
Series background & context
Demon Accords Generations is the follow-on series to John Conroe’s Demon Accords. It is built for readers who already know the wider Accords universe, but it changes the angle. The original series spends years with Chris Gordon, Tanya Demidova, Declan O’Carroll, Stacia Reynolds, and the crew who reshape the supernatural world. Generations asks what comes after that much change.
The first answer is Craig Blackmore.
Craig is seventeen, and he comes from Greenacres, a heavy-gravity world where magic is thin enough that he does not seem like much of a witch. That changes when he returns to Mother Earth and takes a legacy slot at College Arcane. The setting matters right away. College Arcane has always been a place where young people with dangerous gifts are trained, tested, and occasionally thrown into problems far bigger than a normal student should face.
Craig arrives carrying baggage from another world, a weak opinion of his own magic, and the pressure of entering a school tied to some very famous names. The fun of the setup is that he is not stepping into an empty stage. The Accords world already has history, power structures, old heroes, old enemies, and a lot of people who remember what happened when the previous generation came of age.
That is a lot for a teenager to inherit.
The tone looks familiar if you have read the main series. There is humor, danger, training, social awkwardness, and the sense that a school story can turn into a battlefield story without much warning. But the focus is not simply on repeating Chris or Declan’s path. Craig’s problem is different. He has to learn what he is on Earth, where magic is richer and expectations are higher.
Because the series begins after major Demon Accords events, it is best treated as a later stop, not the first doorway into Conroe’s work. New readers should usually start with God Touched or, if they want Craig’s story with full context, read through Bloodlines first. Once the main arc is in place, Expansion becomes a natural next step, a new class, a new lead, and a wider future.
