The Dark Dream books center on Tiernan Morelli and Bianca Belcante, and the whole story starts with a bad bargain. In Bad Dream, Bianca is just trying to survive, keep her small family together, and care for her younger brother. Then Tiernan walks into her life carrying money, secrets, and far too much power.
He is the scarred black sheep of the Morelli family, and he does not arrive like a safe answer to Bianca's problems. He arrives like a warning. By the time Dangerous Temptation gets moving, Bianca is pulled into a guardian-ward arrangement that already feels wrong before the romance even starts to surface. Tiernan has his own revenge plans, and Bianca quickly realizes she is standing much closer to the center of them than she ever expected.
What keeps the duet grounded is Bianca herself. She is young, but she is not passive. Her love for her brother, and the everyday pressure of trying to protect him, gives the story real weight.
