Series background & context
The Court Legacy series picks up years after the events of Court High and Court University, when the children of Maywood Heights' most powerful families step into the spotlight. These teenagers have grown up hearing whispers about the Court, Windsor Prep, and the scandals that shaped their parents' lives.
On the surface they are Legacies, heirs to old money, political dynasties, and carefully managed reputations. Underneath, they are kids with bruised histories of their own, chasing love, autonomy, and the truth about a town that covers up what it does not want to see. Eden O'Neill keeps the focus on that tension, the way privilege protects and traps them at the same time.
The first three books, Dirty Wicked Prince, Savage Little Lies, and Tiny Dark Deeds, follow Sloane and Dorian Prinze, the blond prince of Windsor Preparatory Academy. When Sloane arrives in town with her brother, she refuses to bow to Dorian or his friends, and their feud explodes against the backdrop of a horrific crime and a dead teacher. As they dig into what happened, Sloane uncovers long buried secrets about her own identity, her family, and the quiet deals that have kept Maywood Heights running.
From there the series shifts to new couples while still weaving the same web of families and feuds. Ares 'Wolf' Mallick and Fawn collide in a vicious fake dating arrangement at Pembroke University in Eat You Alive and Eat Your Heart Out, weaponizing their chemistry even as it exposes the damage they both carry. Later, child prodigy cellist Aspen is forced into hiding on a college campus after a very public threat, only to find that the boy who once terrorized her childhood now rules the school in Pretty Like A Devil.
By the time you reach A Little Bit Reckless, the next wave of Legacies are piecing together stolen childhoods, complicated sexuality, and shifting loyalties. Characters like Wells Ambrose, Bruno Sloane Mallick, and Bow are caught between the expectations of their families and the pull of relationships that do not fit neat boxes, pushing the universe into bolder territory.
Across all of Court Legacy you can expect the darkest tone in the Court Universe, high steam, and plots that lean hard into conspiracy, blackmail, and revenge. At the same time, the core is still found family, the sense that these kids are trying to build something better out of the wreckage they inherited. If you have already read Court High and Court University, this series feels like coming home to the same world, only sharper, more dangerous, and more grown up.
