Series background & context

The Corrupted Hearts series moves Tiffany Snow's romantic suspense into a tech-heavy world, but it keeps the same focus on emotion, danger, and impossible choices. The center of the story is China Mack, a twenty-three-year-old computer prodigy who likes order, routine, and logic. At the start of Follow Me, she has already landed a dream job at Cysnet before even graduating from MIT, and she is happiest when life stays predictable. It does not stay predictable for long.

China is a great lead for this kind of series because she is brilliant without feeling untouchable. She would rather trust data than instinct, and she is much more comfortable with code than with chaos. Then chaos shows up anyway. Her billionaire boss, Jackson Cooper, pulls her into a classified project. Her runaway teenage niece suddenly needs help. Her new neighbor, Clark, is intriguing in ways that feel equal parts appealing and suspicious. Snow builds the books around that contrast between a woman who wants clear answers and a world that keeps refusing to give them.

Everything in this series runs through technology.

That is what makes the setting matter. These books live around corporate power, surveillance, government contractors, secret software, and intelligence work. Problems do not stay local for long because the tools in play are bigger than one office or one crime scene. A line of code can become leverage. A hidden program can become a weapon. The suspense has a sharper, more modern feel because so much of the danger comes through systems that look useful right up until someone abuses them.

Across Follow Me, Break Me, Find Me, and Save Me, the stakes keep widening. What starts as a dangerous assignment and a cluster of suspicious deaths grows into clandestine operations, blackmail, an attempted presidential assassination, and family secrets that cut far closer to home than China expects. At the same time, the romantic tension never lets up. Jackson and Clark pull China in different directions, and her feelings for them become tangled up with questions of loyalty, safety, and who she can really trust when everyone is keeping something back.

China is the hook.

Snow gives her just enough dry humor, awkwardness, and stubborn competence to make the series feel lighter on the surface than it really is. Underneath, the books are full of pressure. China is constantly being asked to choose, to adapt, and to keep going when the neat rules she relies on stop working. That makes the emotional arc as important as the espionage plot.

If you like romantic suspense with a brainy heroine, a tech backdrop, and a love triangle that stays central all the way through, this is the Tiffany Snow series to pick up. It is sleek, fast, and a little nerdy in the best way, with enough heart to keep all the hardware from taking over.
