Cobweb Bride Trilogy Books in Order

The Cobweb Bride Trilogy is an alternate-Renaissance fantasy built around a brutal problem: Death has stopped doing his job. Until he finds his missing bride, nobody can die. The terminally ill remain trapped in pain, battlefield wounds do not bring release, and the living world begins to buckle under the consequences.

The first book, Cobweb Bride, follows Persephone Ayren, known as Percy, an overlooked village girl from the kingdom of Lethe. Her grandmother is dying but cannot die, giving Percy an immediate and personal reason to join the search for the woman Death is waiting for. What begins as a desperate journey grows into a much larger struggle involving rulers, rival courts, undead armies, and people who see the crisis as a chance to grab power.

Nazarian uses the setup to move between villages, forests, castles, and glittering courts. The series has a large cast, including Percy, the Black Knight Beltain Chidair, nobles with their own agendas, and figures whose relationship to life and death is much less simple than it first appears. Percy is the emotional center, though. She begins as someone others underestimate and gradually has to face what responsibility, courage, and love demand of her.

The story draws on the Persephone myth without simply replaying it. It also treats its alternate Europe as a place of political maneuvering, warfare, romantic loyalty, and eerie folklore. The undead are not just monsters. They are evidence of a world that has lost the natural order people took for granted.

In Cobweb Empire, the crisis widens. Percy continues the search while parts of the world begin disappearing and competing powers move to exploit the chaos. Cobweb Forest brings the trilogy's main conflict toward its conclusion, carrying Percy and her allies deeper into the mysteries behind Death's missing bride and the broken land.

Read the books in order: Cobweb Bride, Cobweb Empire, and Cobweb Forest. This is a continuous story, and the later books assume you know the secrets and losses of the earlier ones.
