Series background & context

Clutch leans into paranormal romance. The setup is simple, but effective, humans and vampires share a world full of rules, suspicion, and temptation, and then one forbidden connection starts knocking holes in all of it.

The book tied to this series, Roman, gives you the basic shape. Roman is a vampire who has spent a long time keeping distance between himself and humans. Fiona has been taught to fear his kind. Their attraction is the problem, and the story works because both of them have to question what they thought they knew.

That makes the series feel less like sprawling fantasy and more like relationship-first paranormal romance. The supernatural elements matter, but they exist to heighten the emotional stakes. Power, prejudice, danger, and desire all live in the same room.

If you like your paranormal romance more intimate than epic, with vampires, tension, and a strong pull between people who should probably stay apart, Clutch is a good fit.
