Series background & context

Chimney Rock is Cameron's paranormal side turned all the way up. The books are set on Whidbey Island, in and around the small town of Chimney Rock, where disappearances, hidden powers, and dangerous creatures sit just below the surface of ordinary life.

The central supernatural group is the Team, a pack of werehounds trying to survive in secret while dealing with threats from inside and outside their world. Cameron mixes shapeshifters, fae-linked danger, and fated attraction, but she keeps the stories anchored in personal stakes. The heroines arrive carrying grief, fear, or a past that has not let go of them.

The island setting matters a lot. It gives the series a closed-in, misty feel, part shelter, part trap. Characters are always trying to decide who belongs, who can be trusted, and what kind of life is possible when the supernatural keeps breaking through.

If you want romantic suspense with claws, curses, and strong supernatural mythology, Chimney Rock is the series to pick.
